Windy Survival Sailing!

Due to the very high winds over the past five weeks sailing opportunities have been few and far between with a high number of races unfortunately being cancelled.

We did however manage a few Free Sail events, and one race in our Autumn series was completed on Sunday 18th August, but alas before a second race could be completed the wind went ballistic with gusts in excess of 35mph!

The three hardy souls on the water enjoyed a downwind blast and lots of swimming on their way back to the club. The Safety Boat crew, Lawrie Elliott and Campbell Calder had a busy time but still managed to catch some of the sailing action on camera.
