Adult Training Starts
On the weekend of 30 April / 1 May our RYA Level 1&2 training got underway. The Saturday saw a blustery south westerly breeze and quite cool conditions for the trainees. Sunday was much kinder with a light easterly and much milder conditions and judging by the large smiles on all the faces on the trainees coming ashore it had been a very successful weekend. Training resumes this Friday 20 May at 1600.

Crane In weekend
This has been a particularly busy weekend at the Boat Club but very successful. The weekend started with the dropping of the new river navigation buoys ground tackle on Friday afternoon in perfect calm conditions. Before beginning Crane in on Saturday, club member Bob Sharp made a small and very appropriate dedication to the late Jeff McLeod our Mooring Convener who very sadly passed away just over a week ago. We

Less than three weeks until crane-in!
With less than three weeks until crane-in there is a fair amount of work taking place on the quayside at the Boat Club. If you have not started on your boat yet you need to get your skates on! If you have a boat on a trailer in the Dinghy Park can you please make sure to service the trailer, tyres inflated and wheels moving freely ready for crane-in.
