Annual Dinghy Regatta 2022

We ran our annual regatta for the first time in two years on the weekend of Saturday 10 / Sunday 11 September the previous events having been lost due to the Covid Pandemic.

Two very competitive mixed handicap fleets enjoyed tight racing over a weekend of very light north easterly winds. The fast handicap fleet was dominated by former Scottish Laser champion Callum Calder who won all five races. In second place was Ewan Christison also in a Laser and third place went to Alex Tulloch, sailing an Albacore.

The slow handicap fleet was dominated by Keith Driver sailing his ILCA6 with Paul and Betinna Sizeland sailing a Wayfarer narrowly beating Leonie Griffin in a Laser Radial into second place. Leonie took a very credible third place having only recently switched to the Laser from sailing a Picos.
