Shottie in a Yottie

Our 2024 'Shottie in a Yottie' event which gives members who have not tried sailing on a yacht the opportunity to do so took place on Saturday 6 July and was very well supported by club yacht owners.

There was a reasonable uptake of folk wanting to try yacht sailing given we were running this at the start of the school holidays and all those that ventured onto the water had a good time.

The weather was typical of much of this summer with a mix of light winds, sunshine and heavy rain! The rain did not stop the afters BBQ with our intrepid cooks working under a gazebo!

Thanks to all who took part and a special mention to young Daniel Mraz for his help assisting Campbell Calder in the ferrying duties on the club RIB.
