A very special Santa double-act

#HoHoHo Always a highlight in our calendar, on Sunday Cramond Boat Club were once again delighted to welcome Santa to our annual children's Christmas party to herald in the festive season. But this year was extra special - as Santa's usual sleigh-boat was out of commission, he was ferried to Cramond by our very good friends from the South Queensferry inshore lifeboat!
Dozens of excited children's eyes followed the action from our upstairs windows as the valiant RNLI crew battled the elements to navigate the Almond river in the dark and pouring rain to safely deliver Santa to our clubhouse.
Once ashore, and after a quick change into dry clothes involving a little sleigh-t of hand (wink, wink), Santa joined the children gathered beside the Christmas tree for the traditional presentation of gifts from his big red sack. But not until all the children had loudly assured him that they had indeed been good boys and girls this year of course!
As a big thank-you to the intrepid South Queensferry lifeboat crew, all proceeds from the party will be donated to the RNLI to help them with the fantastic work they do all year round. Many thanks also to Chief Elf Julie and her helper elves for organising all the food, fun and games. Festive greetings to one and all!
