Annual Prize Giving

On Saturday 18 November we had an excellent turnout for our annual Prize Giving.

Both the Cruiser and Dinghy prizes were spread amongst a wide number of competitors and this illustrated what an enjoyable and competitive season we have had.

Also awarded at the event were our Annual RYA Certificates for Junior Sailors Stage 1/2, Adult Sailors Level 1/2, Wind Surfing, Power Boating and Safety Boat.

The night was rounded off with nominations for the most (coveted) trophy in the club, the Wooden Anchor which is presented for, let me put this politely - nautical errors. The assembled audience vote for the various nominees and this year by a landslide vote the trophy was presented to Lawrie Elliott & Campbell Calder for their skills in failing to secure a safety boat to the quay wall (while the painter was beautifully attached to the quay it wasn't attached to the bulls eye on the RIB) and it subsequently floated off down the river!

A great evening was had by all.
