Dinghy Spring Series Complete

The last races in our Dinghy Spring Series took place yesterday, Sunday 2nd June. The conditions were lovely with a brisk if shifty westerly breeze allowing for some very close racing.

Alex MacAulay took first in race one with Paul Wilson second, both sailing Laser Radials.

In the the next two races Andrew Morrice sailing his handsome Wayfarer Delphy dominated, taking two firsts with Alex taking two seconds and Paul two thirds.

After a twelve race series Alex and Paul were tied with equal points but with Alex having the superior score in the last race he won the series.

In a very creditable third place sailing a Wanderer were Leonie Griffin and Janice Kerrisk.

Well done to all fifteen helms and crews who took part in the series making it a very competitive and enjoyable event and special thanks to all the Safety Boat crews for volunteering their time to run the racing.

Next up is our Summer Series starting on Sunday 9th of June.
