Annual Moorings Work Party

On Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November we had our annual moorings maintenance work party. Conditions on the Saturday were challenging with regular heavy rain showers making this already difficult job more demanding.

During the weekend several work ropes and ground tackle were replaced or adjusted. There was also a considerable amount of vegetation and large tree branches removed from the moorings which had accumulated in recent spates.

For all their hard work participants were rewarded with pie and beans, and this year by request, vegan pies were added to the extensive menu!

With the heavy part of the maintenance now completed this leaves only a final check of the mooring tackle to be made in March 2024.
