Sailing Sunday 19 June
Published 12:37 on 23 Jun 2022
Sailing resumed last Sunday after we lost a number of events due to the current run of high winds. We combined four events on Sunday with a Cruiser race, dinghy race and Cadet & Kids (Sea Monkey) training. Even though the winds were lighter than of recent it was still a feisty 20mph west by north west creating a very lumpy sea at Cramond. The dinghy racing was dominated by Ewan Christison with two firsts from three races but as always he was having close racing with Keith Driver also sailing a Laser Radial. Eilidh Newlands was having an exciting sailing day in one of the club Lasers with a few swims! Paul and Bettina Sizeland enjoyed a great sail in their Wayfarer, Ketchup.
The Cadets and Sea Monkeys had a great day in spite of the challenging conditions and all the safety boat crews were kept busy. A big thank you to all the volunteers that helped with the training without your support we could not run these events.
